Abraham-Hicks’s first two Law of Attraction books were called A New Beginning (part 1 and part 2). Published in the late 1980s, the central point of these books was this: in any moment we can claim a new beginning.
If there’s an area of your life or work in which you could use a new beginning, it’s available to you always through your divine inheritance as a creator. All you have to do is choose it. “I now choose a new beginning for myself on the subject of _________.”
Keep this in mind: after you make this choice, expect the Law of Attraction to immediately send you more of the same old stuff you want to change.
This is where many people become needlessly discouraged: “I asked, but nothing is changing. Law of Attraction doesn’t work!”
When you ask, you have a heightened awareness of what you don’t want – that’s what caused you to ask in the first place. The Law of Attraction must show you where you’re vibrating now. That’s what makes it a Law! LoA does this not to discourage you, but to let you see exactly the old habits of thinking and feeling you now have the opportunity to change.
If you ask for more money and the next day get a huge medical bill in the mail, see it as your opportunity to choose belief in your abundance over belief in your lack.
That’s all you have to do: choose what you prefer to believe. Yet hardly anyone does it…
Make this choice a few times – even if you can’t see how anything will change (we never can, at the beginning).
Then, within a few days at most, Law of Attraction begins to match you with new solutions and better circumstances.
An astrological new beginning this weekend
Astrologically we’re about to enter one of the most auspicious times all year to begin something new.
I love astrology, but not the kind that makes scary predictions and leaves you feeling you were born unlucky. That’s just powerless superstition and has no relevance to those of us on a spiritual path. Who do you think consciously chose your time of birth anyway?
Astrology can be an excellent tool for understanding self and human nature, if you’re inclined to use it that way.
In any case! At the vernal equinox last month, the sun entered the sign of Aries, the pioneer and leader into the new. No wonder Aries begins the season of spring in the northern hemisphere. At 1:20 p.m. Eastern time Saturday April 2, the moon also enters the sign of Aries – giving all of us a super boost of power for anything new we want to begin. This powerful window goes through Sunday April 3 at 1:45 p.m. Eastern.
If you’ve been getting glimmers of new inspiration in your life and business – maybe glimmers so bright they almost scare you – the upcoming 24-hour period of the moon entering Aries is a great time to get in sync with the heavens and chart your course.
Never be concerned if you miss an astrological opportunity! There’s no limit to the opportunities available to us through the Law of Attraction.
