Sometimes here on the Earth plane you will feel hopeless. A victim of circumstances beyond your control.
We ask “why did this happen to me?” – but it’s a pointless question.
Life gives each of us opportunities to feel all emotions and to have limitless experiences. To think that getting really good at managing your vibration will magically keep you safe from everything unwanted is a wishful fantasy.
If you could be pure positive energy every single minute, you wouldn’t be living on this Earth plane. But you’re here, and experiencing contrast is part of the deal.
Contrast isn’t here to stop you. It’s here to help you soar.
Contrast is unavoidable here on Earth because it makes us aware of what we no longer want. That awareness gives birth to a fresh new desire for what we do want, which leads to new expansion – of ourselves and our world.
Yes, your personal contrast expands not just you – but the entire world.
Of course contrast is rarely fun when it shows up in your life or your business. That’s what makes it so powerful. We’re forced to admit what we don’t want, and we can identify what we do want instead.
A useless response to contrast is: becoming self-critical because you “attracted” the circumstances that now leave you feeling hopeless.
Sure we attract everything in our lives – but that’s no excuse to blame ourselves. Attracting contrast – even whopping huge contrast – never means “I did something wrong and now contrast is here to punish me.”
The only reason we ever attract contrast is because we’re ready for something more.
Whenever you observe contrast – whether from health, relationship or financial issues, or from fear for your own future or the future of your family or your country – and it’s left you feeling hopeless, it is time to choose hope.
What triggered the contrast is now in your past. How you move forward from this point is your choice.
You are free to choose hope or faith – even when you have no idea how things can change.
We all can feel hopeless, but we are never helpless, because we are creations of Spirit. There’s no more powerful catalyst for change and reclaiming of your own power than contrast.
Use contrast to reclaim your hope or your faith, and choose to keep moving forward.
Once while listening to an Abraham-Hicks workshop recording, I heard a woman tell Abraham about a devastating chronic illness that she lived with. She wanted to know how Abraham could counsel positive emotion – when clearly her circumstances were never going to improve.
I’m paraphrasing here, but Abraham’s response was:
You can be chronically ill and feel hopeless or angry about it. Or you can be chronically ill and feel neutral or even peaceful or hopeful about it. How you feel about it determines what happens next.
When the hopeless moments come, as they do to all of us, make a decision to choose hope. Just because 1) it feels better to choose a positive emotion and 2) your decision determines what happens next.
